Star Wars Droid Auditions for American Idol [Watch]

Disney is working the P.R. train to the max with their latest crossover promo for 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' and their 'American Idol' reboot.

It might come across as a bit of a shameless self-promotion plug, but at least Disney made it entertaining. They feature the droid BB-8 from the last Star Wars trilogy auditioning for 'American Idol'.

Judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie think he's a little 'pitchy', but they can work with him. They tell him;'he's going to Hollywood.'

I did find it amusing, but is it sad to say that I felt BB-8 was the best actor in 45-second clip?

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' is in theaters December 15th. 'ABC launches their version of 'American Idol' in March 2018.
