Slick roads apparently contributed to the cause of an accident that totaled an area teen's sports car.

At about 1:30am Wednesday (March 2nd), the Fayette County Sheriff was called to a rollover accident on Highway 18, 2 miles west of West Union.

A car driven by 19 year old Benjamin McIntyre of Hawkeye was headed west, when he lost control due to weather conditions.

McIntyre's car entered a ditch, struck a driveway embankment and rolled. McIntyre was not hurt, but his 2003 Ford Mustang was totaled.
