Thanks to soaking rains over the past couple of days, burn bans in several Northeast Iowa counties have been cancelled.
Lisa Roberts, the Fayette County Emergency Management Coordinator requested the burn ban in Fayette County be lifted, as of 9am today.

In Bremer County, Coordinator Kip Ladage noted that the burn ban in Bremer County is over as of today (Wednesday).

Burn bans have also been cancelled for Mitchell, Chickasaw, and Dubuque counties.

They were put into place following a month of dry, windy weather, and several incidents of field fires.

Most of Northeast Iowa has received an inch or more of rain over the past 24 to 48 hours.

According to the Iowa State Fire Marshall website, burn bans are still valid in Buchanan, Howard and Delaware Counties, although their situation may be updated.
