The 106th National Cattle Congress Fair is this week at the Cattle Congress grounds in Waterloo. This years fair will be September 15th through the 18th.

This year’s fair is jam-packed with new and exciting entertainment, as well as lots of old favorites. Here are some of this year’s highlights:

The Live Stingray Encounter is the World’s only traveling “self-contained” Stingray exhibit! In addition to viewing the Stingrays, you have the opportunity to be able to have a hands on educational and memorable experience. Knowledgeable staff members will be on duty to answer any and all questions you may have about the Stingrays.

Playing in the Pepsi Pavilion on Friday and Saturday night is the Cedar Valley’s favorite country band Wild Card! The shows start after the PRCA Rodeo at 8:30 PM till 12:30 AM

Another great act added to this year’s fair is the High Flying Pages is a Flying Trapeze show and Equestrian show. Be amazed by the high flying acts and The Wheel Of Destiny. The High Flying Pages travel around the world presenting  a double catcher Flying Trapeze Act.

Don’t miss your chance to enter your son or daughter in the first annual Little Miss Cattle Congress & Little Mister Cattle Congress and Little Miss Cutie & Cattleman! Contest will be at 5 PM on Thursday, with the Coronation on Friday at 5 PM on the concourse.

The PRCA rodeo will be preforming Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Come see these cowboys and cowgirls as they compete in Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Bareback Riding, and last but not least the crowd favorite, Bull Riding!! Rodeo starts each night at 7 PM.
