Keep these facts and figures in mind before going home with Mr. (or Miss) Right Now...

To help you get your game on while staying safe, BackgroundChecks.org put together a list of the best and worst states for STDs in America. The site ranked each state based on the number of cases per 100,000 residents.

Here are the top ten "dirtiest" states:

10. Alabama

9. Arkansas

8. Oklahoma

7. Georgia

6. So. Carolina

5. New Mexico

As it turns out, Iowa is relatively low on this list, coming in 40th out of 50. Way to go! I'm sure our parents will be very proud that we paid attention during sex ed class.

New Hampshire is the state where you're LEAST likely to catch something...I don't know if it's because there aren't as many people there or if they're just really into monogamy. I'm honestly surprised Utah wasn't #1, because Mormons. Click here to check out the full list.
