Three Northeast Iowa residents have been injured in a weekend traffic accident in Linn County.

The crash happened at about 8:30pm Saturday (January 3, 2015), at the intersection of Roosevelt Street and East Otter Road, near Center Point.

A van, driven by 48-year-old Joni Doolan of Janesville, was found on its side in a ditch at the intersection, with the five occupants standing outside.

Doolan, along with two of her passengers, 32-year-old Danielle Comer and 3-year-old Asher Comer, both of Cedar Falls, were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, to be treated for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Two other passengers, 71-year-old Lee Minikus and 31-year-old Joshua Comer, both of Cedar Falls, refused treatment.

The accident is being investigated by Linn County sheriff's officials.
