Two young eastern Iowa women are recovering from injuries they sustained in a traffic accident early this morning(Monday, Dec. 12) in Linn County.
Shortly after 12:30am, authorities were notified of vehicles in the ditch on Mount Vernon Road, east of Cedar Rapids.

Officers discovered that a car driven by 16-year-old Amadea Temple, was struck by a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Rebecca Harms of rural Mount Vernon. Temple had stopped on the side of the road prior to the collision.

Both drivers were taken to St. Lukes hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff.
