Vikings Eagles Rematch To Kickoff 2018 NFL Season
The first game of 2018 NFL season will be the Thursday Night Game revisiting the NFC Championship game.
The NFL has announced the opponents of all 32 teams but not the full schedules. So the Vikings know all their home and away opponents but not the order of the games or their official dates. Well they do know that the first game of the 2018 NFL season will be a rematch of last season's NFC Championship game.
Although it's a rematch of the same teams and the same stadium, there will be a lot of key new faces. The Vikings will see Kirk Cousins starting at quarterback and, if he's healthy by week 1, the Eagles will most likely start Carson Wentz. Also, the Eagles will continue to run the ball with Jay Ajayi, but lost Legarrette Blount to free agency. (Lions). Delvin Cook returns to the Viking running game along with Latavius Murry. Cook was injured in Week 5 and at the time was the 3rd-best running back in the league. Cook will take over with Murray being the backup. Jerick McKinnon (pictured above) was a free agent and has signed with the San Francisco 49ers this off-season. With these new changes means it will be a completely different game from last year's NFC Championship game.
Vikings Home Schedule: Packers, Lions, Bears, Cardinals, 49ers, Bills, Dolphins, and Saints
