The Wartburg Knights men's and women's basketball teams battle the Loras Duhawks at home on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Each game came down to a last-second shot.

The Wartburg men's basketball team outscored Loras 31-26 in the second half of Saturday's game and held on for the 64-63 win as the Duhawks' final shot was unsuccessful.

Four players finished in double figures and were led by 12 points each from junior Marc Ellis (Des Moines) and senior Clay Cook (West Branch). Sophomores Jordan Cannon (Bolingbrook, IL) and Nick Webber (Peosta) both recorded 10 points.

The Knights men's team moved to 13-8 overall and 6-4 in Iowa Conference games while the Duhawks fell to 8-13, 3-7.

The Wartburg ladies compiled a strong second-half effort as it outscored Loras, 44-41, in the frame and with three seconds left, got the ball back and brought it up the court. The Knights attempted a last-second shot that bounced off the rim as the buzzer sounded.

The Duhawks won 71-70 and moved to 13-8 on the season and 7-3 in IIAC games, while the Orange and Black are now 13-8, 4-6.
