A British tortoise named Bertie has made the Guinness Book of World Records by setting a new land speed record for his species: 0.62 MPH.

A press release about his accomplishment reveals that Bertie completed an 18-foot course in 19.53 seconds, reaching the speed of .92 feet per second (or .62 MPH).

The previous record, which was set by another British tortoise named Charlie in 1977, was .41 feet per second. “I used to collect the Guinness World Records books,“ Marco Calzini said. “To be in the book is a dream come true, a massive achievement!“
