A former Waterloo man is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop near the city on Sunday (May 31, 2015).

Eric Lee Hepperle, 39, of Lake Oswego, Ore., was placed under arrest after authorities found over five pounds of hash oil in the vehicle. According to police, the oil has a cash value of around $200,000.

Waterloo police said investigators with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force received information that a quantity of hash oil was arriving in the Waterloo area over the weekend. A traffic stop was conducted and authorities seized the hash oil during a search of the vehicle.

Hepperle was placed under arrested and transported to the Black Hawk County jail on charges of marijuana possession with intent to deliver and violating Iowa's drug tax stamp law.
