Waterloo Man Charged In Cedar Falls Disturbance
A Waterloo man is charged with multiple weapon violations in connection with a weekend disturbance in Cedar Falls.
Officers arrested Darius Nickelous, 22, shortly after the incident. The disturbance occurred at 2422 College St. shortly before midnight on Saturday (Jan. 14, 2016).
Cedar Falls police responded to a report of shots being fired both inside and outside the building around 11:50 p.m. During the investigation, officers recovered a handgun and empty shell casings.
Following an investigation, Nickelous was taken into custody on the following charges: Intimidation With A Dangerous Weapon (Class C Felony), Felon in Possession of a Firearm (Class D Felony) and interference with Official Acts (Simple Misdemeanor).
According to Cedar Falls police, the case remains under investigation.
