Waterloo police are searching for a suspect in an armed convenience store robbery overnight.

Officers were called to Yesway at 1976 Franklin St. just before midnight on Thursday (April 5, 2018).

When police arrived, employees reported that the business had been robbed at gunpoint. Authorities said the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to police, employees described the suspect as a white male. He was about six-foot tall and wore a black sweatshirt, which was used to cover his face.

No injuries were reported. The hold-up remains under investigation by Waterloo police.
