Police are investigating a bank robbery in Waterloo.

The hold-up occurred at Great Western Bank, 2936 University Ave, around 12:30 PM on Thursday (Oct. 25, 2018).

Authorities said a man walked into the building and told employees he had a weapon, then demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash, although he reportedly never showed a weapon. Police are searching for the suspect.

Bank employees told police the man's face was covered. Officials are looking for a man who was wearing jeans and a dark, hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery.
