Waterloo police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and two others injured Sunday night (July 17, 2016).

According to police, the three shootings victims showed up at Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital for treatment around 6 p.m. Investigating officers later learned that the shooting happened in the 800 block of Logan Ave., near the intersection of Conger St.

Police said one of the shooting victims, a 21-year-old male, died from the injuries he suffered in the shooting. Injuries to the other two are not considered life-threatening.
