Waterloo Police have arrested a woman for throwing a pot of sweet corn at her mother.

The incident happened Monday (Aug 13) at a home on Locke Avenue in Waterloo. 26-year-old Amanda Heasley was involved in an argument with her mother, 53-year-old Lou Culver, when Heasley reportedly threw a pot of water, which also contained cobs of corn.

When Culver attempted to call police, Heasley grabbed the phone out of her hands, slightly injuring her mother; no one was burned in the attack. Authorities have not indicated if the water was hot. There were also two small children present at the time, ages 2 and 4 years old. They were not hurt.

Heasley is charged with serious domestic assault, non-serious child endangerment, obstructing emergency communication, and interference with official acts.
