Keith Simmons' Farley Speedway is set to host the 39th annual “Yankee Dirt Track Classic” presented by Casey's General Stores beginning this Wednesday, August 31st.

The “Yankee” is the largest racing event in Northeast Iowa, and the 2016 event promises to be one of the best ever. The Farley Speedway offers all the amenities that fans and drivers are looking for, from on site camping with electrical hookups and showers to the spacious Palace Ballroom where a set down meal is available plus a dance floor and stage which will offer dancing to live music following the Friday night race program.

The four big nights of racing will culminate with the Championship race events on Saturday, September 3rd. The Deery Brothers Summer Series IMCA Late Models will headline the Championship events on Saturday night with the 100 lap “Yankee” offering a whopping $7,500 to the winner.

Wednesday and Thursday action will get underway at 7:00 PM, Friday night the action will start at 6:30 pm and Saturday the first race will hit the track at 5:30 PM.

The Farley Speedway is located on the west edge of Farley, Iowa just south of US Highway 20. The track can be accessed by exiting US Highway 20 on exit ramp 300 and then traveling a half-mile west on Olde Farley Road.

The annual “Yankee” charity auction will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM, lots of fantastic pre-consignments have been secured making this a can't miss event for the race fan.
