2017 Class 1A Iowa High School Girls Basketball State Tournament
Here are the 2017 Iowa High School Girls State Basketball Tournament Class 1A pairings and results.
Class 1A quarterfinal games will be played on Monday, Feb. 27. The winners advance to the state semifinals on Thursday, March 2. The 1A championship game is scheduled for Friday, March 4 at 6:00 p.m.
The eight-team field includes two northeast Iowa squads: Janesville and Turkey Valley, which finished second in 2016. Other teams qualified for the 2017 state tournament are: Burlington Notre Dame, Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton, Kingsley-Pierson, Marquette Catholic, Sidney and Springville.
Springville is the defending champion and has been ranked No. 1 all year, ahead of No. 2 Turkey Valley. Burlington Notre Dame, Kingsley-Pierson and Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton are the other returning qualifiers in the field.
