Body Found At Waterloo Cemetery

Waterloo police are investigating a death after a body was found at a local cemetery.

Officers were called to Garden of Memories at 3669 Logan Ave. (U.S. Highway 63) just before 3:30 PM on Friday (Jan. 26, 2017). In a press release, authorities confirmed that there was a body on the property.

Police did not identify the deceased person or release any other details on the circumstances surrounding the death. They are waiting for the results of an autospy, which will be performed at the Iowa State Medical Examiner's office in Ankeny.
