Charlie Puth's Voicenotes just got another new mouthpiece — Kehlani, one of Billboard's top female musicians of 2017 — will lend her talents to the album, Puth announced Wednesday (March 15).

During a chat with Zane Lowe's World Record on Beats 1 on Apple Music, Puth unveiled "Done for Me," a new track off of his forthcoming second LP, and said there are "no pop chords in the song but it's a pop song." He added the process of getting Kehlani to contribute to the track felt totally natural.

"You know when you meet somebody and you just know that you're going to be friends with them for a really really long time? That was her when I met her. She’s just such a warm and outgoing person and just such a good distinct voice," he said.

Puth, whose Voicenotes was originally planned to drop in Fall 2017 has already pushed back the release of the LP, and as recently as January said the album is imperfect, but something he loves dearly.

"So I have good news and bad news," he wrote. "The bad news is that I have to push the album release date. I’m producing this album all myself and with that comes a lot of work, and in my opinion, the album is not perfect yet. However, it will still come out this year, and soon."

Voicenotes drops on May 11. It also includes a collaboration with Boyz II Men called "If You Leave Me Now," and Puth has promised additional features.
