Two of the Certified Nursing assistants, charged with having sexual relations with patients at a residential facility, have made a plea.

23-year-old Paige Johanningmeier of Elgin and 26-year-old Megan Penny of Clermont had been charged with sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist, for establishing relationships with 2 patients who came up missing from the Prairie View Residential Facility.

In court proceedings, both women have pleaded guilty to Wanton Neglect of a Dependent Adult. The incidents happened in February.

Under the plea agreements, both women get deferred judgements. If they successfully complete a year of probation, the charge will come off their records.

Both also had to pay $315 in penalties.

Three other nursing assistants have pleaded not guilty. 44-year-old Carolyn Wiedrich, 24-year-old Shelby Sebring, and 32-year-old Jamie Pagel were arrested last month on similar charges. Their trials are set for later this year.
