The 2016 Iowa's Virtual Dirt Track Classic champion Matt Web talked to us about his fan-voted win. Web scored the Bill Colwell Ford Main Event win for the Modified division.

Webb made the VDTC entry list by winning the 2015 IMCA Modified Rookie of the Year award. The Des Moines native made the jump from the SportMod/Bmod division after claiming the SportMod track championship at the Iowa State Fair Speedway.

The start of the 2015 campaign saw the expected growing pains one would expect moving in to a new class. By season-end, things started clicking for the No. 51x team.

"We spent the first half of the season going backwards," Webb admitted. "By the end of the year, we were rolling pretty good. Even though the competition is pretty tough, we had some pretty good results."

The 2016 plan current has Webb and his crew competing at the Iowa State Fair Speedway, Adams County Speedway, and Stuart International Speedway. Sprinkle in a few Hawkeye Dirt Tour and other specials, the team is looking forward to the new year.
