Have You Heard of This Iowa-Based Halloween Candy?
Everybody has their favorite Halloween treats. Snickers, M&Ms, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Skittles, just to name a few. But what about a Twin Bing?
Truth be told, I had no idea what a Twin Bing even was until yesterday. But it turns out that they're a big hit in Iowa. Maybe that's because they're made in Iowa.
The Palmer Candy Company was founded in Sioux City in 1878 and came up with the idea for the Twin Bing--cherry nougat covered with roasted peanuts and chocolate--in 1923. In fact, Palmer's still makes them by hand every day!
In addition to the Twin Bing, Palmer's boasts an amazing variety of chocolates, coated pretzels, hard candies, and specialty barks suitable for any occasion.
