Bridge Project Set To Begin In Grundy County

A bridge replacement project will require the partial closure of Iowa Highway 175 in Grundy County for most of the summer.

The highway is scheduled to close between Morrison and Grundy Center at 7:30 AM Monday, weather permitting. The project isn't expected to be complete until at least Aug. 30, Iowa Department of Transportation officials said.

Beginning next week, officials plan to close Iowa 175 between County Road T-47 east of Grundy Center, and County Road T-53 in the city of Morrison.

During the closure, traffic will be routed around the work zone on a marked detour. IDOT officials said the detour will follow Iowa Highway 14, County Road D-35 and County Road T-53.
