Good news for millennials, the heat is going to be off of you for a bit. A new study published in the New York Post looked at Generation Z, and what their expectations are at work. For the record, that is anyone born between 1996 and 2010.

The study it found 76% of people between 18 and 23 think they should get promoted within their first YEAR at a new job including 27% who said six months and 5% who said LESS than six months. Here a few more stats from the survey:

  • 62% of 18 to 23-year-olds say being praised by their boss in front of other people is important to them.
  • 20% said they need daily feedback from their boss, or they might quit.
  • 40% expect to make over $100,000 a year someday.
  • 77% said work contributes to their stress, compared to 64% of adults overall.
  • 36% of managers think Generation Z will be harder to manage than millennials.  29% also think they'll be harder to train. And 27% don't think they'll work as hard as millennials do.
