I've previously mentioned in recent blogs that I'm a fairly healthy eater. I don't got out for fast food all that often (unless you consider iced coffee fast food), so McDonald's isn't my first choice when it comes to satisfying my hunger. However, when the office gets FREE food, I'm chowing down like there's no tomorrow. Yesterday happened to be one of those days.

To save the suspense, yes, it was McDonald's. But this wasn't the stereotypical American McDonald's food you and I have grown accustom to, these items came from different countries.

I started off with the Grand McExtreme burger from Spain, which consisted of Apple Wood smoked bacon, McBacon sauce, Gouda cheese, and onion. Overall, a decent sandwich. I would've preferred less onion but beggars can't be choosers. My descent into Australia's cheesy bacon fries left my 23 year old arteries begging for a salad, but I loved every second of it. They're no different from regular McDonald's fries except for the nacho cheese and bacon slathered onto it. My only complaint is why the U.S. didn't get on this first.

Last but certainly not least, was the Stroopwaffle McFlurry. Essentially its caramel ice cream with little chunks of waffle cone inside. The perfect sweet treat to culminate a satisfying meal, although I felt a bit drowsy after the meal, 1,200 calories will do that to you.

All in all, a solid two thumbs up! The best news is that you can buy these too! Starting this Thursday, June 6th, you can buy any of these items from 2-5pm, and with foreign currency no less! If you're looking for something new I HIGHLY recommend heading to your nearest McDonald's.
