A Minnesota woman was hurt in a motorcycle crash near Waverly on Tuesday.

Sandra Howe, 55, of North Mankato, suffered injuries when she was thrown off her 2002 BMW, the Iowa State Patrol said. She was taken to the Waverly hospital for treatment.

The accident happened around 9 AM on U.S. Highway 218/Iowa Highway 27, near mile marker 198.

According to an crash report, Howe was going south when she lost control. The motorcycle went into the median and rolled several times, ejecting her.

Assisting the Iowa State Patrol at the scene were Bremer County sheriff's officials and crews from Waverly Fire and Ambulance.
