NE Iowa SUV Driver Collides with SW Wisconsin Boat

Southwest Wisconsin authorities are investigating a traffic accident involving a Northeast Iowa motorist.

It happened shortly after 9am Tuesday (May 15) at the intersection of State Highway 35 and Highway 82 in Freeman Township in rural Crawford County.

80-year-old Wayne Hovden of Ridgeway, Iowa, was stopped at the stop sign, waiting to make a left turn. 67-year-old Albert Close of Ferryville was making a left turn pulling a boat and trailer.

Hovden pulled out and struck the side of Close's boat and trailer. No one was injured.
