Eastern Iowa, get ready! Never before has there been this much talent on one baseball field in Iowa!

Perfect Game (PG) announced today that it will be hosting their inaugural celebrity softball game on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Perfect Game Field in Veterans Memorial Stadium. Rain or shine, the event will go on as professional athletes, models, media members and more come together to benefit the Perfect Game Cares Underserved Youth Initiative.

We don't have all of the names yet, but it is confirmed that Hall of Fame pitcher Trevor Hoffman will be making the trip to Cedar Rapids for the game on July 27th. He spent 18 years in the big leagues and was an All-Star 7 times.

Gates will open at 11 a.m. with the first pitch at noon. In addition, Perfect Game and their former Major League players will put on a free baseball camp from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the stadium and will be open to the first 500 kids to register. Each child will also get a ticket to attend the game in a special section of the stadium. You can register your child by emailing jennifer@perfectgame.org.

Rosters will be released later this week. From what I've seen, there are some pretty big names lined up for this event! General admission tickets are on sale now at www.perfectgamecares.org. There are only 3000 available, so get yours while they last.
