Rae Sremmurd is facing a lawsuit from a fan who was graphically injured at a show in 2016. A Michigan man is suing duo after he attended one of the duo’s concerts  and Rae Sremmurd launched a bottle into the crowd.

The man’s name has been withheld, but according to TMZ, his lawyer has indicated that a lawsuit has been filed alleging that Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi threw the bottle into the crowd with no regard for anyone's safety.

Court docs claim that the man was hit by the bottle with so much force that it " took off “a chunk of his face.” He was allegedly forced to go to the hospital and suffered permanent scarring.

In more positive news for the duo, it was announced in July that Rae Sremmurd is venturing into the comic book world thanks to Valiant Entertainment. The rap duo has teamed with the publisher to create their first comic book project, SHADOWMAN/RAE SREMMURD #1.

According to a press release, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee will partner with Valiant’s supernatural superhero to embark on a new adventure of fame, fortune and magic.

“Comic books are a form of entertainment. I get to make all the sounds and effects in my head. It’s just like you use your imagination – you go through the pictures and the pictures are always awesome. It’s like an escape from reality,” said Jxmmi. “Shadowman is crazy. It has a lot of twists and turns. It keeps me involved and interested. I can’t even take my eyes off of Shadowman when I read it. I have to finish the book.”
