Suspect Arrested 4 Days After Chase with Police
A Northeast Iowa man faces charges after leading authorities on a chase.
A Strawberry Point Police Department officer tried to pull over a vehicle last Friday (May 18), because the motorist had a suspended driver's license.
However, the suspect took off at a high rate of speed and eluded arrest.
Then on Tuesday of this week (May 22), police arrested the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Blaine Recker of Arlington. Recker is charged with Eluding and Driving While his License is Suspended.
Recker was taken to the Clayton County jail in Elkader, where he was held until his initial court appearance.
Strawberry Point police were assisted by the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.
