Opening the 100th season with the oldest rivalry.

Country music star, Darius Rucker, gave an interview last year and the best quote of the interview was him saying, "there are 2 seasons, football season and waiting for football season."

The wait will be over the Thursday after Labor Day, September 5th. The opening game of the 2019 NFL season will be the oldest rivalry in the league. The two teams first played in 1921 and the current series lead only slightly sways the Packers way at: 97-95-6 for regular season and post season games.

The two teams combine for 22 NFL Championships (5 Super Bowls) and 48 members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The rivalry has really renewed in 2018 with the addition of Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears and the rising relevance of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. The Packers come into the 2019 with a new head coach, Matt LaFleur, former offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans.
