You'd think it would be some sort of kamikaze mission to go to the grocery store the night before Thanksgiving--crowded parking lots, picked-over shelves, middle-aged women shoving each other over the last can of cranberry sauce.

But it turns out, the day BEFORE the day before is way more chaotic.

According to The Daily Meal, most people assume Thanksgiving Eve will be the busiest day, so they try to beat the holiday rush by going to the store on Tuesday (though, you've hopefully started thawing the turkey by then).

That said, take a little time this weekend to make a grocery list get a head start on your Thanksgiving shopping. Unless, of course, you want to end up like this:
