Phoenix, AZ- A crash spilled beer onto a busy highway.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a semi truck and an SUV collided just after 9 a.m. Monday.
As a result of the crash the semi rolled over, the roof was torn open and dozens of pallets of beer kegs spilled onto an embankment between lanes of traffic. Arizona DOT tweeted pictures of the wreckage.
It's unclear if the kegs were full at the time of the accident. Or if anybody had some red Solo cups nearby. [UPI]
If they WERE full...I volunteer to assist in the cleanup.
Miami, FL- This is a s***ty way to end a party.
Seth Gissen has not made many friends since he started keeping his yacht at a marina in Biscayne Bay. Neighbors have called 911 over 50 times in the past few years to report fighting, drugs, loud music, etc.
Last month, the Coast Guard stopped the boat--fittingly named "No Rules 2"--overloaded with more than 50 passengers. An investigator claims he heard Gissen instructing the people on board to tell the Coast Guard that the passengers and Gissen were friends.
The next week, "No Rules 2" was stopped again. Gissen responded by discharging his yacht's sewage waste, which sprayed onto the Coast Guard officers and vessel.
Gissen now faces federal charges for operating an illegal charter and could get up to SIX YEARS in jail. [WTF Florida]
New Scotland, NY- Police got help from a pint-sized passenger.
State troopers pulled over 26-year-old Scott Hill on Thursday. While Hill was being questioned a three-year-old girl in riding in the back seat found a bag of marijuana. But that's not it.
Officers say the girl reached under the front seat and grabbed a zippered pouch. Police secured the package, which contained a pipe and a device for grinding the marijuana.
Hill and his other passenger, 33-year-old Megan Karl, were charged with narcotics possession and endangering the welfare of a child. [Time]
