Minnesota Vikings Rookie Mini-Camp is this week and two former UNI Panthers are trying to make the team.

The Vikings have invited 31 un-drafted rookies to their annual mini-camp with hopes of being asked to come to training camp at the end of the summer. Two of the 31 invited to camp played college football ball right here in the Cedar Valley.

The Vikings are working out a pair defensive players from UNI: Jared Farley (LB) and Karter Schult (DE).

Iowa college football is well represented at the camp, with Farley & Schult from UNI, one player from Iowa (Bo Bower [LB]), and two from Iowa State (Mackenro Alexander [S] and Kamari Cotton-Moya [S]). ***Mackenro Alexander is the younger brother of Mackensie Alexander who is a current cornerback for the Vikings.

Good luck to all the Iowa college football players who hope to play at the next level.
