Vegan Bride Bans Meat-Eaters From Her Wedding

Washington, D.C.- A guy pretended to get stood up on Valentine's Day just to get free food. And it actually worked.

27-year-old Stephen Bonser came up with what I guess you could call a social experiment. He went to an Outback Steakhouse on Valentine's Day, dressed up, ordered a glass of wine for his "date" and waited. And waited. And waited. And live-tweeted the entire ordeal.

FINALLY, a couple at the bar actually bought him his dinner. Bonser must have wanted to balance out his karma, because he left a nice tip for the server and made a $50 donation to charity.

PLOT TWIST...Outback found out about what he'd done, LIKED the stunt, and tweeted to him that he could bring a real date one day--and they'd cover the meal. [Vice]

Vero Beach, FL- Police responded to a domestic disturbance Monday morning.

21-year-old Samantha Hernandez allegedly attacked her fiance because he turned down having sex with her.

The victim said that Hernandez got angry and began swinging at him, scratching his face and ripping his clothes. He called police, and Hernandez was still naked and visibly drunk when they arrived.

Cops observed scratches on the man's face and neck and that he was wearing a torn shirt. Hernandez was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.

While in the squad car Hernandez swore and "maliciously spit" at police, so she was hit with a felony charge for battery on a police officer. She's also been ordered to have no contact with her fiance. [The Smoking Gun]

Australia- A bride-to-be's unusual wedding request is going viral.

The 20-year-old woman published a post in a Facebook group called "Vegan Revolution" asking for advice after banning meat-eaters from her wedding.

She uninvited any guests who refused to comply--including her mother and two cousins, who were bridesmaids.

The woman said that even though people had agreed to a vegan menu, she couldn't go forward knowing they would go back to eating meat the next day: "Some family members were told they are not invited to my wedding because we don't want to host murderers." [UPI / ABC 7]
