Just because you wake up at 4:00 a.m. doesn't mean you're a morning person. TRUST ME. But...according to a new study, morning people are happier overall than people who stay up late.

Health experts say morning people also have a lower risk of schizophrenia and depression. Being up and at 'em early in the day is also better for your physical well-being. Researchers suspect it’s because night owls have to force themselves to live in an earlier world and that stress could make the body work improperly.

That maladjustment of your "internal clock" may also lead to a higher risk of obesity and diabetes, which certainly makes sense for anybody (points at self) who spent a good chunk of their 20s bar-hopping and finishing off the night with a trip to Taco Bell.

So, you may not be "happier," but you'll probably be healthier, which should make you...well, happier.
