Waterloo police have arrested a person in connection with a weekend stabbing that injured a man.

Joshua Maricle, 34, is charged with willful injury, causing serious injury. Miracle was taken to the Black Hawk County Jail, where he was being held on $20,000 bond following his arrest late Wednesday morning (Oct. 10, 2018).

Miracle is accused of stabbing Ryan King, 26, of Waterloo. Police said officers found King suffering from a stab wound to the chest when they arrived at a home on Allen Street early Sunday morning. King was transported to a Waterloo hospital for treatment.

Police said they issued a warrant for Maricle's arrest as part of the investigation. He was located Wednesday in the area of W. 6th and Grant Streets in Waterloo. Police said he attempted to flee officers, but was apprehended a short distance later.
