Remember when you were a kid and you couldn't wait to be on your own (at least that's what you told your parents)? Well, now we know why our parents told us to enjoy childhood...because "adulting" SUCKS. So much so, that many of us don't feel in control of our lives until we're well into adulthood.

A survey conducted by the Daily Mail shows that most people don't really feel in control of their lives until...37!

Most of that has to do with money. Nearly 75% of the 2,000 people surveyed believed that financial security--paying off debts, job security, home ownership--is the most important aspect to solve before living life to the fullest. 1/3 of those surveyed listed finances as their main cause of stress.

Having a happy personal life--either by settling down with a significant other or having a close family bond--also registered high on this list.

No debt? Job security? Owning a house? Settling down? 37 seems pretty far away!
