Let's face the facts. Our money doesn't go as far as it used to. Goods are becoming more and more expensive each year. But exactly how much has the economy changed?

Business Insider looked at inflation rates and posted a list of what $10 was worth the year you were born--along with random things you could buy today if it still had the same buying power.

For example, in my case (1985) the value of a $10 bill is $23.90 in 2018. That would be enough to purchase a 12-pack of Coca-Cola today.

$10 in 1980 would be $32.41 now, roughly what a set of Apple EarPods (with wires) cost. The wireless kind are $160.

Meanwhile, $10 in 1975 would have the buying power of $48.40 now, enough to buy 216 diapers.
