You hear it often -- maybe too often -- but what's the real meaning behind "Hump Day"?

I'm sure you've enjoyed that Geico commercial in moderation............

"Hump Day" has nothing to do with camels, or for the more nostalgic members of the Q audience it has nothing to do with humping.

Imagine the workweek as a bell curve.

Monday starts an uphill climb, and Wednesday is right in the middle of the week (or in this case the bell curve). Wednesday is at the top of the bell curve and Thursday and Friday are downhill from that point on.

Does that mean Wednesday is the peak day of the week? No. That's Friday. But Wednesday is the "hump" that once you get over it, you have the end of the week after it.

So today is about getting over that hump.
