He might be a vegetarian after this. Here's "Crappy News" for Thursday, February 7th, 2019.
Sunderland, United Kingdom- Two women were caught messing with their own food.
The culprits complained to restaurant staff about finding hair in their pizza. Employees apologized to the women, reimbursed them and gave them free drinks. Staff originally believed the complaint was genuine...until they examined store security video.
The footage showed the women pulling out their own hair and adding it to the pizza, which they had mostly eaten.
The pub's owners released the video to the public to stop other customers from attempting a similar scam. [Metro]
Niagara Falls, NY- Police have charged a foster mother with child neglect.
Authorities say the alleged victim was a 2-year-old boy. The child also has a 1-year-old brother and 5-year-old stepbrother who had been placed in the care of 50-year-old Kathleen Jackson.
The victim's parents said the kids appeared to be malnourished and also noticed signs of abuse during a supervised visit in November. Child Protective Services investigated the abuse claims and removed the boys from Jackson's home.
Ironically, Jackson and her husband had been recognized last May as their county's foster family of the year. She faces a misdemeanor charge of child endangerment and a felony count of second-degree assault.
The oldest boy now lives with his biological father and the younger two have been placed with another foster family. [NBC 2 - Buffalo]
Brooksville, FL- This couple had a serious beef...or pork, as the case may be.
48-year-old Jennifer Brassard got into an argument with her boyfriend Friday night.
The fight turned from verbal to physical...and she clobbered him in the face with a frozen pork chop--I guess she grabbed the first thing she could find?
The pork chop caused a half-inch cut beneath the victim's left eye. He then left the scene until officers arrived. Police determined that Brassard was the "primary aggressor" and arrested her for domestic battery.
She was released from jail and ordered to have no contact with her boyfriend. [The Smoking Gun]
I'd be traumatized. The guy's going to have an anxiety attack every time he looks at a pig.
