Woman Fired Because Of Beyonce Halloween Costume

Chicago, IL- An airport baggage handler dozed off...and wound up in another city.

American Airlines said the employee was working Saturday at Kansas City International Airport. One of the departing flights took off--while the handler inside a pressurized cargo hold.

The man was found when the flight landed about an hour later at O'Hare Airport. The baggage handler told Chicago police that he was intoxicated and had fallen asleep.

No charges were filed and he was sent back to Kansas City. His identity was not released. [Chicago Tribune]

But I'm positive he WAS released from his job.

Lantana, FL- The city's mayor agreed to install speed bumps...but there was a catch.

The state Ethics Commission found probable cause that Mayor David Stewart promised a female resident she'd get speed bumps in her neighborhood. All she had to do was have sex with him.

The panel believes that Stewart--whose been Mayor of Lantana for 18 years--used or attempted to use his position to secure a benefit for himself.

If found guilty, Stewart could face punishment ranging from a reprimand to suspension to removal from office. [Palm Beach Post]

Kansas City, MO- "Black face" resulted in a "pink slip."

Shelbi Elliott-Heenan was let go from her job as a hospital nurse because she shared a photo of herself dressed as Beyonce for a Halloween party.

And to make herself look really convincing, Elliott-Heenan decided to paint her skin brown.

The image shows her posing with another man--believed to be her husband, Jasmond Heenan--who was dressed up as Jay-Z, also in blackface. Honestly, his "costume" looks WAY more offensive; hers mostly just looks like an awful spray tan.

The hospital issued a statement on Monday saying that it works to "vigorously protect" a "culture of diversity and inclusion" and that Elliott-Heenan had been fired. Her Facebook account has been deactivated. [AOL News / PopCrush]
