I feel terrible for retail workers--especially during the holidays. Customers become very hostile very quickly, and the whole "kill them with kindness" thing has always been REALLY hard for me (I lasted about a year working at a sandwich shop...never again).

Customers like this Chicago woman are the worst kinds of people. A video has surfaced of her profane, racially-charged rant--at a Michaels craft store, over a $1 shopping bag. SERIOUSLY.

The incident happened last Wednesday. A video shot by Jessie Grady titled “Racist White Woman Trump Rant in Chicago Store” has received more than 3,000,000 views on YouTube since being posted. (WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE)

The video shows the female customer berating two African-American store employees, claiming she was being discriminated against because she was white and also voted for Trump. The customer actually confronts Grady, as well: “I don’t know what you think you’re videoing, lady,” the woman says. “I was just discriminated against by two black women and you being a white woman and you literally thinking that’s OK … why don’t you go home to your husband who’s cheating on you.”

Seriously? What a peach.

However, something positive did come out of all this craziness. Grady was so upset by the incident that she started a GoFundMe campaign because the store manager, who took the brunt of the customer’s anger, has three children and Grady wanted to make the family’s holidays a little brighter:

I’d like to do something to try to make it up to the employee who was the main target of this racist attack. I’d like to show her that many people are horrified by how this woman treated her, and that we stand with her and appreciate her hard work.
